New Name & October Meetup Dates

Notice anything different? The H-town Blogger Hotties got a promotion and we have been renamed the "Houston Blogger Social Club." I will be making some changes and updates this week so bear with me as that process completes!

The change came once a few of us realized that we outgrew our original name when our group got so big and it really did become a social atmosphere.

The purpose of our Social Club is just that - a place for Houston based bloggers to get together, at least once a month, to socialize, network and build relationships. We have never really thought of our group as anything "professional". Never have we brought our laptops to a meetup (although instagramming is perfectly acceptable) or had speakers on topics. We simply get together, have a beverage (or two), maybe some brunch, and really get to know one another.

Our philosophy has really grown into really focusing on relationship building. We all have a common bond through blogging, and what a way to make instant friends?!

So, on that note... we have got to start thinking about October meetup dates. I've put a poll on the sidebar for y'all to cast your vote. From there, we will pick a place and then you will be notified via email and we'll also announce it on our facebook group (which you need to join if you haven't done so already). Leave us a comment if you haven't been to a meetup or received an email from us before so you can get on the list.
